Who is responsible for initial compliance checks and ongoing safety?

Initial checks and work needed to bring the property up to the required standard are the landlord's responsibility.

We can help arrange specialist checks. Ongoing compliance and costs follow the agreed allocation of responsibilities; the landlord retains duties for the building and installations, including annual gas servicing and safety checks.

Do not assume that every certificate or remedial cost is included.
